5 Months Old

HEY EVERYONE...Been a while, but I have a lot that has been going on lately that people have asked me to blog about on here.

First off Bentley is now 5 MONTHS OLD!! I still can not believe that. He is getting so big so.. fast. He is such a joy in our lives that I wouldn't trade it for the world. There is a lot of things that Bentley loves:

1. He loves to talk to anyone and anything. He will literally be talking to no one and nothing when you watch him and he do not see you.
2. He loves to suck on his toes in his mouth when he is had not clothes on. He tried when he has clothes on, but they just get in his way.
3. He loves to play in his big stand up toy set thing that Grandma Linda got him.
4. He loves when you rock him to sleep
5. He loves to watch TV
6. He is teething, so he loves to suck on anything and anyone's fingers, hand, or arm.
7. He loves to sit up on the couch and play with his toys or watch TV
8. He loves to take phones and play with them

He is OBSESSED with phones!

He loves taking selfies. What a HUNK!!

THANKSGIVING...was fun. We decided last minute to road trip it down to Utah to see family. Bentley was really good in the car so we are really happy about that because we will have to take our Christmas road trip to Washington. When we were there we went and visited Rhonda, Jordan's mom, and Grandma Connie, Jordan's grandma, and his sisters. Bentley had a lot of fun with them. We also went and visited Danika and went to Salt Lake for the first time with Bentley. He loved all the Christmas lights and all the things to see when we were in Salt Lake. Another person that we got to go visit was Uncle Ivon, my grate uncle. He was a very neat man and reminded me a lot of my Grandma Wilcoxson, his twin sister.

4 MONTHS OLD NOW!

HEY EVERYONE...It has been a while, but the Ales family is still here.

Something that is new is BENTLEY IS 4 MONTHS OLD NOW!! He is getting to be such a big boy and he is growing up so fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that i gave birth to him and i was holding him for the first time. He went to the Dr. for his 4 month check up and the dr. said that he was a very healthy boy. He is just a little under average, but close enough where he said he is average. He is now 15 lbs 15 oz and he is 25 inches long.

This was when we were waiting for the Dr. to come meet with us. He was laughing and talking the entire time.

Some of the things that Bentley loves to do is...

1. He loves to take baths. Every time he is upset or fussy I say,"Do you want to go take a bath?" He stops cry immediately.
2. He loves to talk 24/7 and to everyone and anything he sees. His favorite things to talk to is his toys that hang from his car seat, the ceiling fan, and his mobile toys hanging from his crib.
3. He loves to grab his feet with his hand and hang on to them.
4. He is starting to like (not love) lay on his tummy and sit up. He loves when daddy comes down to talk to him and he plays a game. Jordan says, "YAH," to Bentley and then Bentley puts his head down to the floor then bring it up.
5. He loves to stand up and have mommy tickle him.
6. He loves to be tickled and laugh.

He loves to sleep in his bouncer and sleep in general.
This is his 1st Halloween bib Grandma got him
He loved sitting by uncle Wes! Bentley feels like such a big boy when he sits all by him self.
He loved to sit up on daddies shoulders.
He is such a big boy sitting all by him self.

Another fun and new thing that has happened, in the Ales family, is that Wesley left for his 2 yr mission to Provo, Utah. We are so proud of him for deciding to go on his mission and serve the Lord for 2 years. He will be a great missionary and help many people's lives and have them become closer to the Lord. Bentley will miss him so much, but we will make sure he remembers who is uncle Wesley is and why he is not here when he is growing up. He will be such an inspiration to Bentley and an example to what the Lord wants us to do when we are of age to serve a mission.

Bentley loves sitting with uncle Wes during family home evening!
This was the right before Wes was leaving for the airport.
Right after he was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Bentley loves his Uncle Wes so much. He will miss him
The girls and I matched for church that day, all jean jackets and vests.

We are so excited that Bentley is getting bigger and developing well. He is such a joy in our lives and we can't wait to see him grow up the rest of his life. We are super excited for Christmas because he will be taking his first trip to Washington and meeting the rest of mommy's family. Plus he might have his first white Christmas.

3 MONTHS OLD

HEY EVERYONE...The Ales family has been busy, busy, busy! I have not updated in a while, but I am trying to get better at doing it every day.

We are still living in California and we are loving it. The weather is great, even though it is supposed to be fall it is still warm outside, Jordan still loves his job at East Bay Kitchen Company, I am still working at Buckle as a freight coordinator/ mommy/ wife.

Bentley is now 3 MONTHS OLD!!! He is getting ready to have is first Halloween, which we are still trying to find his costume. Some thing that he loves to do are:

1. Loves to be held (especially by mommy and daddy)
2. He loves to wake up and talk for hours (usually wakes up at like 6 A.M.)
3. He loves to stand up (with help of course)
4. He loves to be tickled (his side, armpits, feet, and his head when you run you finger down it)
5. He loves to be snuggled up when he is getting sleepy by a blanket and mommy. (the blanket has to be by the side of his face so he feels how soft it is).
6. loves to take selfies with mommy
7. He loves to do tummy time and roll over now (Grandpa Henry taught him that)
8. He loves to laugh
9. Bentley loves to watch TV and watch Jordan and Wesley play video games

This video is Bentley practicing how to roll over with Grandpa Henry.

Another thing that has happen since I last updated was it was JORDAN'S BIRTHDAY!!! Jordan's birthday was was September 27th and he turned 24 this year. Bentley bought Jordan a picture cube that had an engagement on the top of it, a picture frame that said I love Daddy, and a candy jar full of reeses pieces that said, "Daddy I love you to PIECES!" I got his some Oakley sunglasses, an Oakley t-shirt, jeans and a video game. We had a lot of fun that day and also had a fun night. We went over to The Deal's house for a birthday dinner because it was their son's birthday as well. We had a fun night with some game playing, talking, and dancing videos.

This is Jordan at his birthday dinner (Mel's Diner)

This was Jordan's birthday candy cake that I mad for him

This is a video of Taylor and Brooke doing Brook's cheer dance, but Taylor is just mocking Brooke

Another fun thing that happened to me on Jordan's birthday was that a couple of my coworkers at Buckle were on the Saturday morning news to show off the fall fashion this year. It was really fun, but we had to be there at the station at 7 A.M. I was one of the "Buckle models," which was good because that meant that I didn't have to talk on TV. All I did was stand there and smiled.

HERE ARE SOME NEW PICS OF BENTLEY

Weekend Adventure

HEY EVERYONE...sorry I have not kept up on my blog very much, but we have had so many new adventures. We have had family come into town, mission papers received, birthdays, baby blessing, and we even ended up in prison.

Start off the weekend everyone came into town for this adventures weekend. Friday, September 12, 2014 was when we were able to see where Wesley was going to be serving his mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, for 2 years. Everyone gathered around and was ready to hear him open his letter.

Dear Elder Ales, You are hear by called to serve the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints in the UTAH, PROVO MISSION!"

Saturday, September 13th, 2014 was when we celebrated Henry's birthday. We had so much fun going on our hike to Hidden Falls in 100 degree weather. It was so much fun, but it was a workout. Bentley slept through the hole hiking part, but when we got to the water fall he was awake, but then fell asleep again  when we were making our way back through the trail.

Then we ended the night with going to dinner for Henry's birthday in Sacramento called Mortens. It was so delicious and really fun to go spend time with family and friends.

Then Sunday, September 14th 2014 we all gathered at the church to hear the beautiful baby blessing that Jordan gave Bentley. It was such an exciting day because of that, but also because Bentley wore the blessing dress that has been in our family for years. It is 109 years old and was first worn by my Grate Grandfather's oldest brother. It had been worn by so many people in our family, including me. I think that it is so special that my son got to wear the same dress that I wore and many generations before him. It was such a beautiful blessing that Jordan gave to him as well. It made me so happy that my son was able to be blessed by his father and that all our friends and family that could make it were able to join us for that special occasion.

To end our great weekend we took a family trip to San Francisco and went to visit Alcatraz Prison. We were all excited to see this prison and see how these prisoners lived while there. We left for the tour at 11:30 and docked on the fairy boat to head over to the island. The boat ride was so much fun and were were able to see the beautiful view of the entire island of Alcatraz and San Francisco as well.
Alcatraz Island

Us on the fairy boat

There was so much history in that building that you could ever imagine. We did an audio tour of the entire prison, which was neat because we could go at our own speed, look at all the rooms and site of the prison as long as we wanted, and we could imagine our selves on this island as the tour was playing. We saw where the prisoners slept, showered, went to the bathroom, were sent for having bad behavior, the control room, and even where there was normal citizens lived on the island with their families.
 This is the shower room
This was the one toilet in the shower room
This was in one of the cells that you could go in
This was a special cell where they would lock a prisoner up in and then there was another door that the guards would close and it would be pitch black in there. This was were prisoners would go for bad behavior or if they tried to escape.
This was were the prisoners would look through to talk to the visitors that they had. Bentley and I are on the side were the visitors would sit and talk through. Savannah was on the other side in the prison taking the picture.

This is the control room for the guards
Those were some houses where families lived in on the island.
This is the menu that the prisoners had to eat while in prison
 This was the kitchen

The knives were outlined in black so that when there was a knife gone from the board they knew exactly what it looked like, encase a prisoner took it.
This was what a normal cell looked like. It had a small bed, a seat, table, toilet, sink. and a self.
This was a look out tower
This was from one of the famous cells of one of the prisoners that tried to escape from this prison and succeeded. It involved 4 men, but only 3 got out. They made heads that looked like them and after head count at night they placed these in their beds and escaped through the wall in their cell. They tried to escape on a boat they made, but they died while trying to escape across the river.

 Another watch tower

After we were done at Alcatraz we went to explore the rest of San Francisco. We went to China town, walked to pier, and even drove down the famous windy road Lombard Street.

We had so much fum this last weekend with all our friends and family. We had so many different adventures and they were all fun.
